Sunday Letter #31: Happy New Year 🤍

January 4, 2026

Hi friends,

Happy New Year 🤍

We just got back from Karachi this week, and I’m easing my way back into real life. Jet lag hit hard, I came home with a sore throat that feels personally offensive, and my brain is still operating in a different time zone. Coming home after being with family is always a little weird. Your heart is still there, but your inbox, to-do list, and unanswered texts are very much here.

Also, Eesa has decided that 4am is the new and improved wake-up time since we got back, so we’re all just doing our best over here.

On a much more exciting note, I can finally share that I’ll be on Great Day Houston on January 6th! It airs on KHOU 11 at 9am CST. I’m excited, nervous, and already overthinking what I’m going to wear, but mostly just really grateful for the opportunity. If you’re around that morning, I’d love for you to tune in.

Since it’s the start of a new year, I’ve been thinking about what I actually want to carry with me into 2026. Not big dramatic resolutions, just habits, tools, and small things that make life easier and better.

Practices I’m Carrying Into 2026:

• My go-to breakfast of protein waffles and chai. Simple, filling, and I’m sticking with it. I use the Premier Protein brand and it tastes so good.
• Being consistent with my Nutrafol supplements. No more forgetting for weeks and then wondering why my hair's falling out again.
• Buying fewer clothes and being more intentional with what I bring into my closet.
• Reading less smut and more actual literature. Growth.
• Lifting heavier at the gym and not being scared of it.
• Decluttering. Slowly, realistically, and without trying to do it all in one weekend.

Things I'm Taking Into 2026:

That’s it for now. Wishing you a cozy, healthy, slightly organized start to the year.

Until next time,

Fariha
