Hey friends,
Happy mid-month! I wanted to send out a quick update to fill you in on everything I’ve been up to—lots of exciting things happening!
Playroom Makeover Update
You’ve probably seen bits of it on Instagram, but the playroom makeover is coming along nicely! I’ve been reupholstering an old chair, and yes, I went all out with a ruffled skirt at the bottom (it’s a bit extra, but I’m loving it). The fabric is definitely a splurge, but trust me—it’s still cheaper than buying a new chair that has the same vibe (those fancy ones were priced over $1500!). I also picked up some frames for the room—some prints from Tessa Brown Art and a few pieces of my own. Next on the list? Swapping the fan for a gorgeous chandelier and adding some cozy, ambient lighting. It’s shaping up to be such a cozy space!
Waco Fun!
Earlier this month, I had the chance to head to Waco for a launch event to celebrate Joanna Gaines’ new rug collection with Loloi. If you know me, you know I was beyond excited to attend. It was such a fun event, and of course, it was a great excuse to check out some of the beautiful new rugs in person. I left feeling super inspired and can’t wait to incorporate some of those vibes into my upcoming projects!
Book Photoshoot Prep
Oh, and I’m in full prep mode for an upcoming photoshoot at my house for my book! It’s happening soon, and I’ve been finishing up home projects to make sure everything looks perfect for the shoot. Between that and finishing up my manuscript (it’s due in August!), things have been a little hectic, but I’m so excited to share it all with you soon!
