Hi friends,
I have been staring at this blank screen for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to write this because how do you casually announce something you've been working on for over two years?
I guess I'll just say it.
Home, Improved, my FIRST book, is officially available for preorder!!!
I still remember walking into Home Depot for the first time knowing absolutely nothing. I couldn't tell one piece of lumber from another, I was intimidated by every aisle, and I definitely wasn't the person anyone would've picked to someday write a DIY book.
And yet, here we are.
Over the last two years, this book has become part of our family's life. Every room in our house has been photographed. I've rebuilt projects just to get better pictures. I've spent way too many nights rewriting tutorials because I kept thinking, "There's got to be an easier way to explain this."
But it's been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. What makes me the most excited isn't that I wrote a book. It's who I wrote it for.
I wrote it for the person who walks into a hardware store and immediately feels overwhelmed.
For the person who's convinced everyone else is somehow born knowing how to use a drill.
For the person staring at their builder-grade home thinking, "I wish I knew how to make this feel like us."
Because that was me.
Every project in this book is something I've actually done, messed up, learned from, and hopefully explained in a way that makes you think, "Wait, I can totally do that."
There are paint projects, wallpaper ideas, woodworking tutorials, styling tips, stories from Pakistan and so much more.
